Milward Construction operates two divisions offering services to both the Public and Private Sectors. Our small works department undertake a range of projects from minor repairs, renewals and maintenance below £1,000 through to alterations, extensions and refurbishments valuing up to £250,000. This department has vast experience and specialist knowledge on historical buildings and we are proud to have worked on numerous listed buildings, mainly within the Midlands area. Many of these contracts are negotiated direct with clients or through repeat business with architectural practices with which we have built long term working relationships.

The main contracting division undertakes projects from £250,000 to £3 million. The contracting division has grown over the past five years, now undertaking schemes nationwide, although still predominantly throughout the Midlands and surrounding counties, operating within: Residential; Commercial; Industrial; Retail; Education; Leisure; Health and; Listed Buildings.

We are particularly proud that many of our contracts are via returning clients, or by recommendation from previous clients. This has been particularly prevalent on Churches and other places of worship, where recommendations from one dioscean to another has led to our team of highly skilled tradesmen carrying out regular works on Churches and other Listed Buildings around the Midlands area.

Another sector that has grown in recent times is the fast tracking of schemes for schools and universities. We now have vast experience in carrying out maintenance and refurbishment works in short timeframes, ensuring the buildings are available for the start of the academic term. These skills have also been adapted to works with commercial property consultants on office building refurbishments and other similar commercial projects.

Repeat business with national project management companies and quantity surveying practices has seen major expansion of works within the industrial, commercial and retail sectors. This projects currently account for approximately 50% of our turnover and the skills and experienced attained have meant that this area of our business is continuing to develop, particularly with design and build schemes, whether with novated consultants or with our own selected team of professionals.
